Abstract
Background: The burden of acute gastroenteritis (AGE) associated with norovirus mod/severe requiring medical attention at emergency rooms (ER) is an important indicator to justify a norovirus vaccine introduction. We did a one-year prospective surveillance study at the ER of 3 major hospitals in Lima, Peru, a country with high rotavirus vaccine coverage.
